Paul Cox
As the Founder and Director of IDKM (Indodesign Kreatif Mandiri)
Paul Cox leverages over 30 years of experience in designing and building across Indonesia. An Australian national now residing in Kuta Lombok, his connection to Indonesian architecture began with his first international project in Jakarta back in 2002. Paul comes from a family of furniture manufacturers and prides himself on being very “hands-on” and practical in his approach to all aspects of the design and construction process.
In 2008, Paul established his own respected architecture and interior design firm in Jakarta, leading a diverse range of residential and commercial projects known for their strong design sensibility and adherence to international standards—while still respecting local context. After a decade of work in Jakarta, Paul—now fluent in Bahasa Indonesia—relocated to Lombok in 2017 to lead the design and construction of the ‘Siwa’ villa and hotel development near Kuta Mandalika.
In 2020, he co-founded IDKM (Indodesign Kreatif Mandiri) with his long-time friend and fellow architect, Eriko Adjie. Together, they established a studio committed to creativity, collaboration, and thoughtful design that is intrinsically linked to the landscape and its inhabitants.
Eriko Adjie
Co-Founder of IDKM (Indodesign Kreatif Mandiri)
Eriko Adjie is an Indonesian national fluent in English.
He is an architect who graduated from Parahyangan Catholic University in Bandung and also holds an MBA from the City University of Seattle, which gives him a strong foundation in both design and business strategy.
With over 20 years of experience in architecture across Indonesia, Eriko brings invaluable expertise to the field. He is especially known for his meticulous approach to design development and drawing coordination.
Thanks to his leadership, integrity, and attention to detail, he has earned the trust and respect of clients, consultants, and colleagues alike. Furthermore, his ability to guide complex projects with clarity and care makes him a valued partner for those seeking thoughtful, high-quality design solutions. In addition, his honesty and trustworthiness are widely admired by both clients and peers.
